Chinese Halal Restaurant in Toronto

Chinese Halal Restaurant has some pretty interesting food options not usually found elsewhere. The taste of the meals are generally in between spicy and neutral, which is a good thing for some folks. The serving size is generous on some dishes and the service is pretty quick. It does get packed during peak meal hours, so do plan accordingly as parking is limited as well. All in all, a must try for something unique.

Food here is a 10/10. Usually menus this large are not that good, but everything I've tried is a hit: pot stickers, steamed dumplings, soups, the beef skewers are one of the best things I've ever eaten. And the absolute best part is that it's all halal!

Soup was good but very spicy. The rest of the food was just average. Ordered chicken dumplings and there was SO MUCH cinnamon you could smell it a mile away. Also the restaurant was very noisy - had a private room where the people were breaking their fast most likely - and we weren't even close to the room but we could hear them laughing loudly and screaming. I would not go back.

This restaurant is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I feel like having a decent lunchon, this place comes immediately to my head. splendid and food and a large menu.well mannered team, and nice vibes. Also, the tariff is modest. I suggest this place with pleasure.

This restaurant serves many dishes of the Hui Chinese, an ethnic group within China which, narrowly speaking, lives along the Silk Road trade routes in Western China. Note that this is not Hakka Chinese food but is its own, unique cuisine. The food contains elements of Central Asian cuisine such as lamb kebabs with cumin, which are very tasty. My favourite dish are the hand pulled noodles which are made from a single piece of dough into a single, very long noodle strand. Lamb dumplings are also very nice. Overall, the food is excellent.

We like a lot eating out. Yesterday we visited this magnificent place which friends recommended to us. We enjoyed a lovely experience there with exceptional dishes and an experienced crew and an impressive chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we shall no doubt come back soon. We deeply recommend.

This restaurant has delectable lamb, well seasoned skewered beef and a lot more I hadn't tried. The menu is by far my favorite. Though it has many pages, all of the menu items have pictures, and they are big enough to truly evaluate your prospective meal. I held back from granting a 5 star due to inconsistent custoner service. Don't get me wrong, if you ask for a server, you will usually get one which is the standard at most Chinese restaurants but for 5 stars, they need to go the extra mile.

The food was amazing. Had authentic Chinese food that's halal. Service was amazing even though very busy. Lamb was not gamie at all and price and quantity we great.

I ordered the egg fried rice, the wings, the chilli chicken, and one chicken one beef fried noodles. Immediately after opening the chicken fried noodles the smell was off putting. After further taste and inspection it smelt stale. I immediately spit it out. The only thing some what edible was the egg fried rice and the chicken wings.

Their lamb items are fantastic. Main attraction for me. The best in my opinion is the handmade noodle menu, only one there, so cannot miss.

Super Tasty! We went there and got seated right away. The food took time but for me that just means it was fresh, that’s how it tasted as well. We got veggie rice and fried beef dish. There was also an appetizer but was too UK hey forgot to take pics. Staff was not very attentive - didn’t realize we were. Trying to flag them down. Got green tea with our meal- it wasn’t free which was odd since it usually is. Great place, clean - MInus the bathroom, there was a leak and a bucket was used to catch the spill but was rather dirty. Would go back- would want to go with someone who could translate the menu or suggest other good options.

I told my friends about this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are appetizing and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we enjoy a lovely evening. warmly recommended.

Good Chinese food, nice restaurant decor and decent service. I always go for the lamb skewers at Chinese restaurants that are halal and then move on from there. They also have dishes that are mainstays of Chinese food in Toronto, like eggplant, so they cover all the bases for an enjoyable night out.

I’ve been to a lot of Halal restaurants but this was my first for Chinese Halal (not Hakka). I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of everything. Lots of cumin and Sichuan flavoured dishes. The cumin lamb was amazing! The sweet and sour soup was great too. I hate it when I order this dish and it tastes very tomatoey.. sometimes even resembling ketchup lol. This soup was spicy too 👍🏻. The homemade beef dumplings were chewy with a delicious filling. You can buy frozen dumplings here as well (beef, pork, lamb, etc). The Sichuan boiled beef was decent, but the beef was a bit too tough; broth was tasty. The cumin stir fry with chicken was mouthwatering! They automatically add gratuity on your bill for 10%. The service wasn’t the best, but the food made up for it.

Exceptional place to grab food when in a hurry. Their customer service is efficient, prices are convenient, great vibes. I highly recommend this place

I arrive at this excellent place many times as I like the special air that is unique to this place. The staff is extremely attentive and well trained. The service is awfully efficient. Not to mention, the food they cook is good. I ate there often and I was always joyful. The pay is modest. I highly recommend this place to to all.

Absolutely loved this place!Wanted to eat good Chinese from a long time and I’m so glad I ended up going here!Good neat place, easily reachable using public transport. Got ample of parking as well. Staff was good and prompt. They served us tea green on arrival and got our order pretty fast.The fried dumplings were Amazinggg! So was the in-house made noodle soup. Over all loved the experience and food! Can’t wait to be back

Meh I went there with high expectations based on reviews here. Food is super salty and greasy..meat quality is ok can't tell because the amount of salt...some of the meat got deep fried then stewed. Disappointing experience.

I celebrated my nomination this evening in this great place. Well we had a terrific evening and the restaurant was clearly one of the reasons for this successful event. Easy to find, and very nicely finished inside. The staff was friendly and greeted us with smiles. The lamb skewers were tasty. The pan fried and steamed dumplings were delicious. The fried noodle with shrimp and the sauteed squid with eggplant were super tasty. Great meal!

The noodles and dumplings are delicious ! It is a bit pricey, though. I don't recommend the kebabs cuz they are over seasoned with cumin and salt. The best items on their menu are the dumplings and the hand pulled noodles...everything else is pretty good too! I also love how there is a prayer place downstairs for Muslims!

Decent halal food. Average service, nice ambiance but dated up keeping and poor ventilation (super cold in winter). Although there's a large parking lot outside, it is shared by many other businesses making it difficult to locate a parking spot on weekends.

Chinese Halal Restaurant is one of the premiere names when it comes to authentic, delicious and incredibly amazing food.One of my first dining experiences in Toronto and quite unlike any other. They make food quite fresh and the staff is very courteous.The quaint and calm ambience makes it a truly amazing dining experience.I have tried about 10 dishes or more so far, using different modes such as dine-in, takeout and delivery. And, the restaurant always held up to its standard and taste. It is quite affordable with a premium offering of dishes and portion sizes.A must try if you are in the vicinity.

The only accept cash or debit. The food is okay prices are alright maybe even more expensive than usual for certain items. The interior is nice and they do offer a private room for large groups. I would say that dinner with family or large group of friends is what the main audience is for. Definitely not a date spot but you could do it between two people. There is a nice touch that each table comes with a pot of tea the quality of the tea is actually quite nice.

Best Authentic Chinese food I ever had. It's a 💯% halal. Mouthwatering food. I liked the lamb dumping. Manager is very welcoming and the other staffs are very friendly. Interior was nice. Highly recommended.

Unbelieveable!!!. You will see a grocery store, walk through the hall and exit back door. On the east building you will find it at the north west corner. Call ahead for reservations is a must. The place is popular and packed for it's great mix of food, great service, and fine decor. Family of 7, about $130 including tax tip. It's going to be our go to place for family gatherings and busness dinners.

Though many of the items oily but many items are really good. I am specially fond of the Lamb menus. If the customer service was the average quality of any other restaurant this would have been a fantastic place. Waiters are good but once you are there you will realize that though they are cordial and slow at times to respond, just the discipline is not there. But will go, I hope they improve on customer service.

Food was the best here. If you are looking to try Some good Chinese Halal food with good texture and flavours, this is the place for you! Everything is Halal and alcohol is prohibited. They offer a complimentary tea when you enter. I only wish they were a little bit more familiar with English language. I will still highly recommend anyone who loves Chinese food. Prices and portions are also very reasonable.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday in this gorgeous place. Well it was a fine evening and the place was evidently one of the reasons for this successful gathering. The crew collaborated in a sweet way, the cuisine was delicious and my buddies were extremely delighted. We shall surely return for more events. Thank you very much.

I dine in this nice place many times a year! This is my favorite spot to dine. I go there at least once a month. The food is excellent, the team is welcoming and the price is affordable. I enjoy meeting in this spot for a good meal.

I have been a customer since 2014. Probably best places in the city to get authentic Chinese food that also caters to Muslim dietary requirements. Service has always been great, food is amazing. I will definitely keep coming back.

4* = I like some dishes here and experience is nothing exceptional.I go there for the lamb noodles and skewers. Those are reliably good dishes. About other menu dishes, many of them are not what traditional Chinese would expect. Not sure about the halal, Muslim Chinese factor on the cuisine. When we ordered dishes other than the aforementioned dishes, often we had the "What is this?" reaction when it was served. Serving staff is OK, generally meets expectations.Toilet cleanliness is average. This visit, mens washroom had no soap. About the washrooms, they assign 3 ladies rooms (not cubicles), 1 men's and 1 family toilet.

The food items are pretty traditional and had many ethnic flavours enriched in the dishes. All the meat are halal. Nice staff. Great atmosphere.

I first came to this honey comfort food palace when it was on sheppard- way back more than a decade ago; and it's only gotten better with age ! (& it's a halal favourite for my parents :)The specialties are too many to mention bit the lamb pancakes (H05, I think), the hand pulled noodles (D04), and the dough drop soup, along with the cumin beef and the been fried dumplings top my list !Enjoy :)

two days ago was the first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the superb meal and wine and with the friendly cost. We will surely come back in a short time.

Well decorated , customer service acceptable and there is room for some training and better attitude. however in general staff are ok Food is above average and can be rated as good . Location is excellent and parking is available. There is a private room for parties and that is an advantage in case of special occasion or birthday party Prices are acceptable and portion of food is really big . Place is crowded most of the time. The restaurant is really spacious and very clean which is very important factor. Only main entrance / door need some better decoration to reflect the nice decoration inside . Also the main signage of the place could be improved and have something related to the brand . A kind of branding is needed

Nice clean place friendly staff. Lighting was bit dark for my liking. Food was not amazing, kids enjoyed the chicken corn soup minus chicken. If we are really craving for halal Chinese food we might go otherwise It will be tough for us to go back again
